Why Coffee Academy?
Coffee is one of the world’s most widely consumed and social beverages, yet there are many things that are known little or incorrectly about it. However, coffee goes through many processes, each requiring great care and expertise, from the branch to the cup.
As with everything else, knowledge about coffee, quality factors, production and processing techniques evolve and change. Toper Coffee Academy was founded to meet the never-ending need to learn and share information about coffee through the SCA system, one of the most respected specialized institutions in the world.

largest commodity after oil.
Before the establishment of the Toper Coffee Academy, there was no institution providing specialized training on coffee in our region, which is very important for world coffee. There was a great need for world-class coffee education in this region, where coffee is spread around the world and produced intensively.
Turkey’s place in world coffee history and its special culture made it our duty to open a modern coffee school in Turkey. Toper brought its experience from coffee education in Canada, Taiwan and China to Turkey with the Toper Coffee Academy.
SCA and Toper experience
With more than half a century of experience, Toper roasts and grinds coffee in 132 countries on 5 continents. The Toper experience, which has been developed on all climatic conditions, product varieties, bean types and coffee habits of societies around the world, grows and develops day by day.

















The SCA is one of the most respected trade associations in the global coffee industry, providing education, quality improvement and communication programs about coffee. The Toper Coffee Academy combines Toper’s global expertise with the SCA’s official training program. Thanks to this collaboration, Toper Coffee Academy students receive a globally respected SCA diploma upon completion of their training and exams.
Our Educators
Our trainings are given by world-renowned coffee masters who are SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) authorized trainers and Toper experts who are also SCA authorized trainers. You can get up-to-date information about our guest trainers, specialization areas and training programs on our website.
Who is it important for?
In addition to baristas and barista candidates, the Coffee Academy training is of great importance for coffee traders, quality experts, plant managers and roasting and grinding specialists. Successful students are better prepared for international barista competitions and can easily find a job in the industry.
Roasting Course Beginner and Intermediate Level (3 days)
As the coffee academy, we offer you a 3-day SCA roasting course. In this learning process, after giving you general green coffee information, we make roasts using these coffees. The goal we aim to teach here is to enable participants to roast Turkish coffee, filter coffee and espresso style roasts properly and try to get the maximum aroma from such coffees.


We also explain to the participants how to use the air valve, how to adjust the flame setting and how to use the profile system during the training process. On the last day, we do a coffee tasting and test the coffees we roasted.
After the completion of the course and if you pass the SCA exam, you are entitled to receive 2 diplomas at Foundation and Intermediate level. The duration of our course is 3 days.

As Coffee Academy, we offer you a 1-day free roasting course as long as you buy a machine from us.
In this learning process, after giving you general green coffee information (Arabica, Robusta), we roast using these coffees.
The goal we aim to teach here is to enable the participants to roast Turkish coffee, filter coffee and espresso style roasts properly and try to get the maximum aroma from such coffees. We also explain to the participants how to use the air valve, how to adjust the flame setting and how to use the profile system.
