These systems use various sensors to monitor the temperature, time, 1st cracking, 2nd cracking and profiles that occur during the roasting of coffee. Some models can optionally save roasting profiles and automatically apply the same roasting profile for the next roast
Digital applications used in roasting technologies
Digital applications are used in the production stages of coffee in line with the needs of users and production facilities. With these applications, the quality processes of the coffee produced, large productions, the stages between product entry and packaging, etc. can be monitored and controlled. Coffee roasting machines also have many digital applications. These can be simple applications that control basic processes or advanced applications that provide detailed roasting control and use much more intensive technologies. Today, in standard manual machines, processes such as boiler temperature control, hot air control, burner flame adjustment, time setting, coffee roasting profile monitoring and alarms are provided by digitally controlled devices.
In advanced applications, all stages of the coffee roasting process (weighing the green coffee, loading it into the boiler, profiling, applying the profile, unloading the boiler, cooling, directing the cooled coffee to the destoner or roasted coffee silos, etc.) are controlled and executed by digital applications in fully automatic production systems. Advanced digital applications can also include options for service operations and monitoring the production system with mobile applications
